setembro 30, 2024

September 2024Tutator, in partnership with the Scalabrini International Migration Network (SIMN), is proud to announce an innovative collaboration aimed at enhancing the support and services provided to migrants, refugees, displaced persons, seafarers, and fishers worldwide. By integrating cutting-edge, customized technology into SIMN’s operational framework, this partnership seeks to expand the organization’s reach, increase its efficiency, and advance its mission to empower and protect vulnerable populations.

About SIMN: A Global Impact on Migrant Support

The Scalabrini International Migration Network (SIMN) operates in 34 countries and oversees 250 programs and institutions dedicated to supporting migrants, refugees, and vulnerable individuals. In 2024 alone, SIMN has provided shelter and services to 684,597 people, while its job training programs helped 15,874 migrants secure stable employment in 2023. Additionally, SIMN has offered legal assistance to 36,633 people, helping them navigate complex immigration processes and secure their rights.

“The SIMN App will revolutionize how we serve migrants and refugees,” said Fr. Márcio Toniazzo, Executive Director of SIMN. “Through this platform, we are not only able to coordinate services more effectively across multiple locations but also capture real-time data that helps us adapt and improve our programs to better meet the needs of those we serve”

The Role of the SIMN App: Increasing Efficiency and Expanding Outreach

The application will enable the organization to streamline case management, more effectively track services, and improve resource distribution. The app’s key features include:

  • Real-time data sharing: Instant communication across SIMN’s global network, ensuring prompt service delivery.
  • Efficient case management: Digital tracking of case histories to ensure continuous support.
  • Resource allocation: Monitoring the distribution of food, clothing, and shelter to improve planning.
  • Tracking of educational and job programs: Ensuring long-term integration and success of migrants.

This technology will not only enhance SIMN’s efficiency but also strengthen its ability to present data-driven evidence of its impact to policymakers and donors, reinforcing its call for more robust migration policies.

This app is not just a tool for us—it’s a lifeline for the people we serve,” said Josue Bustillo, Director of Communications of SIMN. “ It allows us to meet the growing needs of migrants with precision, compassion, and a level of efficiency we could only dream of before.”

A Joint Vision for the Future

This partnership between Tutator and SIMN underscores the power of technology in driving humanitarian progress. Through continued collaboration, both organizations are committed to ensuring that every migrant and refugee is treated with dignity, respect, and the opportunity to thrive. By leveraging the SIMN App, SIMN will be better equipped to expand its reach and deepen its impact on the communities it serves.

Gilles Concordel, President of the Tutator Foundation, added: “At Tutator, we believe that technology can be a catalyst for meaningful change. By partnering with SIMN and integrating the SIMN App into their operations, we are not only enhancing efficiency but also empowering an organization that plays a crucial role in supporting vulnerable populations. This collaboration represents a significant step in our mission to harness the power of technology for social good. We are excited to see the positive impact this project will have on the lives of those whom SIMN serves around the world.”
